Saudi Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz received in Riyadh Thursday United Kingdom Secretary of State for Defence John Healey (photo).

Both sides discussed the Saudi-British strategic partnership and explored avenues to enhance defence cooperation.

They also reviewed collaborative efforts to address regional challenges and ensure security and stability on both regional and global levels.

Senior officials from both sides attended the meeting, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

For his part, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Saudi National Guard, also received the visiting Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom.

Both sides discussed topics of mutual interest. Senior Saudi and British officials were present to discuss ongoing collaboration.
