Kuwait National Guard concluded the “Nasr 20” Command Center Exercise (CPX) on Thursday, held under the patronage of National Guard Chief Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The exercise saw the participation of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Kingdom, and various military and civilian entities from within Kuwait.

Assistant for Operations and Training at the National Guard Major General Dr. Faleh Shuja’a, emphasized that large-scale military exercises with broad participation strengthen the National Guard’s capabilities in carrying out its national mission of ensuring the country’s security and stability. It also supports the country’s various agencies in responding to emergency situations, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Major General Shuja’a expressed his gratitude to all participating delegations from Kuwait and abroad, conveying the greetings of the National Guard’s leadership. He commended the exercise’s successful results, attributing them to careful planning, effective preparation, and cooperation. He also highlighted the exchange of expertise and the simulation of the distinguished experiences of military institutions from brotherly and friendly countries.

He noted that the exercise’s workshops and coordination meetings aimed to open communication channels with ministries and agencies to work more efficiently and as a unified team when facing crises and emergency situations.

Furthermore, the Kuwait National Guard celebrated the graduation of the joint basic commando course held by the Protection and Reinforcement Command on Thursday. The event was held under the patronage of National Guard Chief Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and saw participation from members of the Kuwaiti Army and the Ministry of Interior.

Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai, Undersecretary of the National Guard, addressed the ceremony, emphasizing the Guard’s commitment to high-quality and specialized training. He highlighted the importance of staying abreast of the latest developments in military science and ensuring military and security units are equipped with cutting-edge weapons and technology.

Lieutenant General Al-Rifai praised the graduates for their exceptional skills, fighting spirit, and unwavering commitment to defending Kuwait. He called them a critical component in the nation’s defense and security. He also conveyed the congratulations of National Guard Chief Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Deputy National Guard Chief Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

In his remarks, Al-Rifai underscored the significance of cooperation and experience-sharing between the National Guard, the Army, and the Ministry of Interior. He expressed his gratitude to the course organizers, trainers, and supervisors for their dedication in helping the graduates reach such high standards of excellence.

The ceremony featured a series of combat demonstrations by the commandos, showcasing their superior skills and capabilities in various operations. The participants displayed expertise in storming operations, group engagement, airdrops, close combat, and overcoming challenges in diverse conditions. These skills not only build confidence but also prepare the graduates to contribute to maintaining the nation’s security as a united force across the army, police, and National Guard.

The event was attended by senior leaders and officers from the National Guard, Ministries of Defense and Interior, Military Attachés from various Embassies, and the families of the graduates.
