Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), visited Wednesday the Royal Bahrain Air Force (RBAF).
He was briefed on the latest combat systems, advanced military equipment, and the progress of operational and training programmes in line with modern development plans, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The Commander-in-Chief affirmed that the BDF continues to excel in both combat and administrative capabilities, advancing steadily toward its goals with precision and confidence, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), met Tuesday with Senior BDF Officers, in the presence of Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs.
The Commander-in-Chief listened to a briefing on the BDF’s ongoing development and modernisation efforts.
The Commander-in-Chief emphasised that the BDF continues to equip its forces with the latest military systems. This aims to maintain high combat and administrative readiness, enabling the BDF to fulfil its duties effectively. He also commended the dedication of BDF personnel, recognising them as a model of dedication and service.
In another development, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received Brigadier General Erdoğan Çatal, Head of the Turkish delegation to the Bahrain-Türkiye Joint Military Committee.
During the meeting, the Chief of Staff commended the strong relations between the two countries.
He highlighted the ongoing cooperation in the exchange of expertise and military collaboration.
For his part, Lieutenant General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Defence Affairs, received Tuesday Fahad Mohammed Salem Kardous Al Ameri, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Bahrain.
The <Minister highlighted the strong and historic Bahrain-UAE relations.
The Minister of Defense Affairs also received Dr. Bastian Giegerich, Director-General and Chief Executive of the International Institution for Strategic Studies (IISS), along with retired Air Marshal Martin Sampson, Executive Director of IISS in the Middle East.
The Minister commended the advanced level of research and studies conducted by IISS and efforts in organising international conferences and providing consultancy services.
