Bahrain’s Commander-in-Chief Receives US Secretary of the Navy

Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), received Wednesday Carlos Del Toro, US Secretary of the Navy.

Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs; Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF; Steven C. Bondy, US Ambassador to Bahrain, and Colonel Christopher Floyd, Military Attaché at the US Embassy in Bahrain were present.

The Commander-in-Chief highlighted the bilateral ties between Bahrain and the United States and highlighted the ongoing cooperation in various domains, particularly in military expertise exchange and defence collaboration, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Meanwhile, His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, His Highness Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guard Special Force Commander, alongside officers and personnel from the Royal Guard and Bahrain Defence Force, attended Tuesday the Kingdom’s Commemoration Day ceremony.

HH Lt. General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to honouring the legacy of its fallen servicemen, who sacrificed their lives to defend the Kingdom, safeguard its people, and uphold its values of peace, security, and coexistence. He said that their sacrifices represent the highest forms of duty and devotion, ensuring the protection of Bahrain’s achievements and future aspirations.

He added that Commemoration Day is an occasion set to honour the sacrifices of Bahrain’s heroes, whose dedication and courage remain a source of pride for the nation.

HH Lt. General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad urged Bahrainis to draw inspiration from the fallen servicemen’s sense of duty, encouraging them to embrace hard work, dedication, and service to the Kingdom.

“Our fallen servicemen have left us a lasting legacy of loyalty and sacrifice. Their values will continue to light the way as we strive for a secure and thriving future for Bahrain,” His Highness said.

He also highlighted the significance of supporting the families of the fallen servicemen, affirming the Kingdom’s enduring gratitude for their sacrifices.
