Under the high patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, the 15th edition of Milipol Qatar, the Global Event for Homeland Security and Safety, organized by the Ministry of Interior, officially opens on Tuesday, October 29 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), bringing together global leaders in security solutions and technology.
This was announced during a press conference organized on Sunday, October 27, 2024, by the Milipol Qatar Committee in the presence of members of the Millipol Qatar Committee, sponsors and representatives of local, regional and international media.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Nasser Bin Fahad Al Thani, Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee, explained that the Ministry of Interior is organizing this edition under the theme “The technology at the service of security”, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to enhancing advanced technological capabilities to meet the growing security challenges in today’s world, contributing to meeting Qatar’s security requirements and reflecting the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
He added that the Milipol Qatar committee has worked diligently in cooperation with the French company Comexposium to ensure the organization of this comprehensive event, which includes the presentation of the latest innovations and technologies in the field of security, as well as a three-day seminar program featuring 15 presentations and addressing various topics, including cybersecurity, civil defense, airport and border security.
Major General Nasser confirmed that all the necessary preparations have been completed to hold a new and distinctive version of the global event, which is set to host over 250 Exhibitors from international and national companies specialized in the field of internal security and safety, in addition to 6 International Pavilions, as well as a large group of international, national and local companies and the Ministry of Interior in its various departments. The exhibition spans over an area of 23,000 square meters in addition to the outdoor display area to showcase the Ministry of Interior's fleet of vehicles.
Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani added that this edition is characterized by the presence of the largest number of official delegations, which amounted to more than 350 official delegations, including VIPs, which indicates the status and importance of the exhibition at the international level, and the event provides opportunities to meet and communicate directly with high-level official delegations, military and security leaders and representatives of government agencies, which contributes to the conclusion of contracts and agreements with companies.
He pointed out that in the event will also host an exceptional state conference about artificial intelligence titled ‘AI Serving Homeland Security and Safety’, on October 29 and 30 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, with the participation of a group of international experts and specialists, who will highlight innovations in artificial intelligence and its ethics, and with sessions held on four main themes: Artificial Intelligence and Smart Technologies, Artificial Intelligence in Security Operations, the ‘Ethics of Artificial Intelligence’, and Security Opportunities and Challenges in the Field of AI.
He invited all professionals to attend this global event to learn about the latest technologies and products and meet local and international companies, as some exhibitors will launch new systems and solutions. The exhibition also provides an opportunity for manufacturers of equipment for the internal security and safety sectors to meet decision makers and security specialists to exchange experiences and knowledge.
